Some people have suggested that if you masturbate often, that can help you last longer in bed. It won’t stop premature ejaculation, but it may give you a few extra minutes when you have sex.
The idea here is that frequent masturbation reduces you overall sex drive. And as a result, your ejaculation will be delayed.
At least that’s the idea.
But this can be double-edged sword.
If each time you masturbate you try to reach an orgasm as fast as possible – you’re actually training yourself not to last long in bed. This kind of conditioning is one of the causes of premature ejaculation.
So if you decide to try to last longer in bed by reducing your sex drive in this way, you must not rush with finishing. In fact, prolonging your masturbation is the bases of two probably the most successful premature ejaculation treatments – start and stop method, and the squeeze technique.
So if masturbating often is part of treating premature ejaculation with start-stop and squeeze exercises, then I’m sure reduced sex libido would have some additional effect.
Otherwise it may even worsen your premature ejaculation.
